In February 2010 Greenland was awarded the title of ‘Canada’s Best Garden Centre’. The award is a result of a country wide inspection carried out in garden centres across Canada in the Summer of 2009. This thorough assessment tested visual displays, customer service, quality of products, website and much more. Greenland received the highest marks across the country.
Greenland has been offering award-winning service since 1960, when John and Lennie Chichak started the business of selling trees from their Edmonton backyard. At the time, little did they know that this small venture would evolve into one of the most successful garden centres in Canada.
In 1991, our year round ‘destination’ Garden Centre was built. Combining family values with a keen business sense, we set out to offer superior customer service, amazing selection, exceptional quality and very competitive pricing. This remains our vision today, and our countless awards reflect this.
We are so grateful for our most recent recognition of ‘Best Garden Centre in Canada’. In a time when excellent customer service seems a thing of the past, we strive to make it our priority every day, in every way. We cherish the last 50 years at Greenland and look forward to serving you in the years ahead.
