Heirloom Tomatoes

Heirloom tomatoes boast some of the best flavour you’ll find, and the colours and shapes are truly beautiful. Greenland currently has about 40 different varieties in stock; here are just a few of our favourites:

Green Pear

Unlike most green tomatoes that have an acidic, citrusy taste, Green Pear boasts unique green fruit with a sweet taste. Will add great colour to salads. Indeterminate.

This variety hails from Oaxaca, Mexico. Beautifully scalloped fruit is perfect for sandwiches, grilling and looks fabulous on a veggie tray. Indeterminate.

Austin’s Red Pear

Bright red pear-shaped fruit about 4-5” long with very few seeds. Very vigorous producer. Indeterminate.

Red Currant

Hailing from South America, this variety produces hundreds of pea sized fruits over a very long season. Indeterminate.

Heavy yields of creamy yellow tomatoes with a white flesh make these a very unique snacking and salad tomato.  Indeterminate.

Tiffen Mennonite

Huge, dark pink fruit is sweet and tangy, the perfect slicer. This tomato won the Northwest Taste Off contest in 2003. Indeterminate, up to 1lb fruit.

Beaverlodge Cherry

Straight from the Beaverlodge Research Center in Alberta comes the Beaverlodge series of tomatoes. Very early producers, the series includes Beaverlodge Slicer, Cherry and Plum.
