We are currently recruiting for full-time and part-time Spring/Summer seasonal positions to start in April 2019 (approximately).

Garden Centre Assistant

Greenland is seeking physically fit individuals who enjoy customer service in an outdoor environment. Your main responsibilities would include unloading truckloads of trees (in all weather conditions!), placement of product in the Garden Centre, maintaining the overall cleanliness of the Garden Centre, loading customer’s purchases into vehicles. Other duties will include watering, weeding, sweeping and re-stocking of plant material. Gardening experience/knowledge is an asset but not a requirement.

Outdoor Operations

This position involves general labor and construction as well as customer loading of bulk landscape products using a Bobcat. Responsibilities could also include being part of the delivery and planting crew. Applicants must have excellent endurance and physical strength and the ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions (pouring rain to extreme heat!). Knowledge of gardening and planting is an asset, but not required.


Restaurant Manager

We are seeking experienced applicants looking for a unique career opportunity in a hands on, family owned establishment. Branches embraces creative and innovative individuals who desire to be part of a unique team that strives to offer visitors an outstanding experience every time they visit.  Key responsibilities include working closely with the Restaurant Manager to plan, organize and control day to day restaurant functions.  Training, supervising, coordinating and scheduling activities for front of house staff and working to coordinate overall functions with Branches Head Chef.  The ideal candidate will have experienced a progressively responsible role in the leadership of a restaurant, have strict adherence to high cleanliness and organization as well as provide leadership, communication and problem solving skills with a strong focus on customer service.  Must have flexible availability to work days, evenings and weekends.

Server (FT and PT - seasonal and year round)

The Server will assist the 'Branches' restaurant kitchen staff in providing our customers with the best possible experience by delivering top quality service and the highest level of cleanliness. Responsibilities include taking guest orders, promoting specials, running food and beverages as well as clearing and setting tables. Other tasks include opening and closing duties (tidying, sweeping, mopping etc.). Successful candidates will have previous restaurant experience and a positive, customer-focused attitude. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills and time management is an asset. As our restaurant is a licensed facility all applicants must be 18 years of age or older. 'Pro Serve' certification is also required (can be obtained online for a small fee).

Baker (PT – Seasonal)

The Baker will assist the Branches Restaurant Head Baker in day to day food preparation and will be essential in supporting the ongoing responsibilities of the kitchen.  Responsibilities will include preparing fresh daily items (scones, croissants etc.), fine pastry work and maintaining baked item production levels.  Successful applicants will have attention to detail, previous fine baking experience, and availability to work early morning shifts.
