Fall Bulbs Have Arrived!

We have an amazing selection of fall bulbs in store right now from Alliums to Iris and Daffodils. But everyone’s favourite – the Tulip! There are many different kinds of tulips, here is some helpful information on just a few:

Peony Tulip

Huge double blossoms that resemble peonies, great for cut flowers, bloom early spring. Many colours available.

 

Species Tulip

These hardy tulips will naturalize; meaning they will spread each year, creating a carpet of blossoms in spring. Smaller blooms than other tulips and often shorter (6-8” tall). Many different species available; shown is the woodland tulip (Tulipa sylvestris) – this variety is fragrant and dates back to 1597!


Fosteriana Tulips

The largest and most striking of all tulips, these perennial tulips will naturalize well and mix excellently with daffodils.

 

 

 

Parrot Tulip

These frilled and flared blossoms come in many colour combinations are an excellent cut flower. Bloom early mid spring.
