To calculate the amount needed for any given area, use the following
formula.
Area (in sq ft), multiplied by the depth required in inches, divided
by 12, divided by 27.
Example:
10 x 14 = 140 sq feet
140 x 4 = 560
560 ÷ 12 = 46.67
46.67 ÷ 27 = 1.73
This will give you an approximate amount of product in cubic yards.
BARK CHIPS: a 2 cubic foot bag will cover about 10 square feet
at 2 inches deep.
PEAT MOSS: a 4 cubic foot bag will cover about 42 square feet at
2 inches deep. (1 part peat, 3 parts soil)
