Menacing Mosquitoes

Finally some beautiful summer weather, but the mosquitoes are so menacing how can we enjoy our gardens? Here are some simple tips to help repel these backyard pests.

Mosquito Barrier

This mosquito control product is a combination of 99% garlic juice and preservative. It is intended to be mixed with a combination of water, vegetable oil and dish soap and sprayed on plants, shrubs, lawns and any standing water in your yard.

It will make up to 30 litres of solution and can be applied with a hose end sprayer. It will treat up to 5,000 square metres and remains effective for up to 4 weeks. Garlic Spray

Our 100% organic Garlic Spray from Ark Gardens is an all natural way to repel mosquitoes. Simply spray on plants and lawn surfaces 2 hours prior to outdoor activities. Also an excellent organic insecticide to treat aphids and other garden pests.

Mosquito Dunks

If you have a pond, ensure the water does not become stagnant. Mosquitoes will not lay eggs in water that is continuously circulating. Also, ensure your rain barrel has screen netting across the top to ensure eggs are not laid on the surface.
