Coral Bells

Sometimes when traditional plants go through extensive breeding programs to create new varieties with exceptional colour, it’s possible they may lose some essence of their hardiness. We had an extremely cold winter, and some plants that have been extensively bred for colour and texture seemed to take a hard hit. Coral Bells is one that we are hearing about often, in regards to plant losses. Flashy varieties like Lime Rickey, Orange Marmalade etc may not have fared as well as traditional choices like Obsidian or Purple Palace. Contact us for advice on choosing Coral Bells for your shady garden.

'Tiny’ Lily Series

Bred originally in the Netherlands for containers, these make a hardy, versatile choice for the garden as well. The dwarf habit makes them useful near the front of any sunny border where they put on a great midsummer show. Also equally at home in a rock garden. The best effect comes from massing in good-sized clumps of one variety. Over a dozen varieties available in solid and bicolour.

Jeepers Creepers

JEEPERS CREEPERS

Jeepers Creepers® are durable perennial plants. Their low spreading habit makes them ideal for use as a groundcover, lawn substitute, pathway or edging plant. Some types will even tolerate foot traffic!

GROUNDCOVER

With colorful flowers or leaves, these plants offer unique design possibilities. Plants will quickly fill in awkward corners. Certain types offer an easy solution for shady sites or baking hot sun. By covering the ground in a dense mat, mulching requirements are reduced.

Thyme

PATHWAY & PATIO PLANTS

Add an attractive finishing touch to highlight your creative stone or woodwork. Fragrant-leaved selections will release a pleasant scent when walked on.

MANY OTHER USES

Cascading types of Jeepers Creepers® are excellent in containers where they can spill over the edges or fill in between other plants. More vigorous types are great for planting with bulbs to help cover up holes left by dying foliage. These low plants are the ideal size for the front edge of a flower border.

ROCK STARS

Rock Stars® are specially selected plants that all share one thing in common: they're little, they're tough and they're cute! While many of these are traditional rock garden or alpine plants, we've made the job easy for you by trimming out the kinds of alpines that are fussy-to-grow and temperamental. By carefully assessing and eliminating the tricky types we're able to offer you a wide selection of solid performers that are the true stars of the rock garden!
