Sawfly

|
Though most commonly seen on dogwood and currants, Sawfly can also be found on an assortment of garden plants throughout early summer.
Easy to detect, Sawflies look like caterpillars but are actually the larvae of a wasplike insect. Characteristically, Sawflies will curl into an ’S’ shape when disturbed. They skeletonize leaves and can even cause complete defoliation.
To control Sawfly larvae, use Doktor Doom House and Garden insecticide or Safer’s End All insecticide.
