Add some Spring to your Entrance!
 |
It will be about 2 months until we can fill our outdoor pots with geraniums, petunias and other summer container favourites. Until then, outdoor pots can be filled with colourful dogwood, pussy willow and frost hardy plants to add colour to your entrance.
Here’s how to do it:
1. Fill planter with a medium firm enough to hold branches; sand, soil or floral foam. Alternatively you can use one of Greenland’s Drop-In fiber pots; perfect for planting up then popping into any container.
2. Arrange stems of red dogwood, pussy willow, birch or other woody material in centre of pot.
3. Fill in the edges of your pot with cold tolerant plants such as pansies, primula, ivy or forced daffodils. All are available now at Greenland!
4. Finish off the planter by adding moss, stones or other decorative accents.
